" Last week we revealed statistics on luxury villas located close to the Bali Hyatt. One villa had remained empty more that 90% of the time as the owner did not want tenants. If he were to sell it to day, he would net 18% or an 8.32% average per annum after commissions, taxes, and all expenses.
Although not an exciting return, this is three to four times better than a bank savings account.
Not all of us can keep a house empty, though. Those that are content owning a private luxury villa, enjoying it at least 30% to 50% of the time, can make even higher profits.
We know a villa owner who, who rented his villa 80 % of the time, and would net an unbelievable 44% per year after commissions' upkeep and expenses.
